This is a small traditional house, spanning approximately 65 square meters, was originally built in the early 1900s. It is situated on the periphery of the village with an unobstructed view of the entire area.

 

The fact that this house has been passed down through generations, coupled with its sentimental value to the client, necessitated a sensitive design approach. For this reason, the primary aim was to preserve and highlight the original build, including its traditional features such as the original roof, walls, doors, and windows. All additions are kept minimal in both form and material, using materials that complement the traditional interior on one hand, while introducing a contemporary feeling at the same time.

 

The proposed small yet functional design encloses a kitchen and living area, a bedroom, and a newly built bathroom, all unfolding around a small entry hall.

In keeping with tradition yet embracing the present, this small house design marks a conversation between tradition and the contemporary.
